Hampta Pass Trek is one of the most amazing treks in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 14,100 ft on the Himalayas Pir Panjal range. Hampta Pass Trek allows you to discover the unique side of the Manali. In between your trek, you get to witness the lush valley of wildflowers, amazing waterfalls, snow-white glaciers, alpine forests and a lot more. The best time for Hampta Pass trek is mid- October. The temperature would be around 5 degrees during the days. In winters the temperature ranges from 12 degrees to 18 degrees in the day time, and at night it falls to -6 degree to -4 degree. Then trek Chika to Balu ka Ghera. The next stop of this trek is siagoru- known as one of the famous campsites. You can do camping here, and you get to witness snow patched carpets and deo Tibet park. Then move forward from siagoru to chatru. Then head to your destination and the ending point of this trek- Chandratal Lake. Trek at high altitude and enjoy the amazing view. Then head back to Manali for your homeward journey with a bag full of memories.

Tips and Things to Carry at Hampta Pass Trek

  1. Go for a medical check-up before embarking for this trek.
  2. Plan this trek with a trek leader
  3. Alcohol and smoking are not allowed during the trek.
  4. Carry your own first-aid kit and personal medicines.
  5. Before starting the trek, involve yourself a few weeks early in some physical activities like running, jumping etc. to increase your stamina and strength.
  6. Carry your valid ID’s
  7. Carry comfortable clothes and shoes for trekking.
